Siniawan is an old and once forgotten town 21 km away from Kuching. Recent years, efforts have been made to revive the traditions and cultures as well as the night market of this old town which is seeing results and tourists are now flocking in during the weekends and local economy is greatly improved.

Siniawan is good to see at night but definitely better to feel during day time … the old wooden shophouses are good story tellers.

Duration : 3 hours

Depart Time : 6:00 pm (Weekend Only)

Siniawan old town - age more than 100years; just to enjoy a moment of old town feel there. Set up by the folks/kapitan, between two rows of wooden shops, you will find a short stretch of stalls selling handmade stuff and of course food and cakes. Its not only Chinese food, you will get Malay and natives selling there too. The old quiet bazaar is brought to life every Friday and Saturday evening starting 6.30pm to 10pm. Local folks sing life on stage, red lanterns stringed from one end to the other. Don't forget to try the Lui Teh, Pitcher Plant Rice and the Ngo Hiang here, which is very recommended for a food lover!!
